Parents & Supporters
We kindly request that Parents & Supporters refrain from interfering with our grading during games. There’s no need to shout or urge your child on, as we will be assessing everyone's potential fairly. Grading Day FAQs
How is player grading determined?
Grading is based on skill level, game understanding, and teamwork observed during drills and match play throughout the day. In addition, we need to look at positioning. We can't have a team of all GD/GK and a team of all GA/GS. We aim to put 3 shooters, 3 midcourters and 3 defenders in each team. We also take into consideration representative status and previous coaching evaluations.
My child is new. Is there anything I should know?
Whether your child is new to Titans or returning, you don't need to worry. We have made note of any players, especially players who haven't played before. We aim to make everyone feel extremely comfortable during the session. We also account for any nerves that anyone may be feeling.
My child is sick, or unable to attend grading. What should I do?
If you are unable to attend grading day, please email titansnetball@outlook.com immediately. Your child will be paper graded and unfortunately, no requests will be considered.
My child wants to play with a friend - can this happen?
We encourage parents and players to trust the grading committee, and accept any new friends/teams they are placed in. However, if you would like to submit a friend request please email titansnetball@outlook.com
Please note - Anyone placed in A grade team cannot submit a playing with friend request.
Can parents watch the grading sessions?
Yes, parents are welcome to observe from designated areas while maintaining a supportive and respectful environment for all players. When will teams be announced?
Teams will be announced on or before Monday 2nd March 2026. This gives the graders two weeks to finalise teams and submit them to SDNA. Teams will be emailed to all players.
